10LBS DEVELOPER LAYER GRIT

Developer Layer grit is 3/16" to 5/16". Feed Developer Layer size after 7 weeks of age. Feed is only kept in the gizzard from 1/2 to 12 minutes. The proper size grit in the gizzard grinds feed so small that the bird's digestive juices quickly act on every bit of the valuable proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins locked within the feed converting them into a form for absorption into the blood stream where they aid growth and egg production. Without the grit much of the feed passes right through the bird unused.
